The Programs

• The after school educational program
This six-to-ten week program educates children on how the life skills learned through working with the animals can help them build strong and healthy relationships with the people in their lives.

• The Reading Room
In Bark Avenue, bookstores, libraries and schools, children read books to the animals as a way to encourage reading.

• Animal Afternoons
Children and adults healing from physical, psychological, or emotional challenges can play with, handle, learn about and enjoy a variety of animals to brighten their day.

• The Pet Detective
Children K-6 are educated on proper selection and care of pets through a one-hour assembly or classroom presentation. This program can also be done at events, bookstores and community centers. With Murphy’s Safety Songs the kids have a blast dancing and singing along.

• Spay/ Neuter Services
This program is crucial to help end pet overpopulation. The Foundation will assist communities in need of spay/neuter, microchips and vaccinations by bringing in mobile vans and working with local vets, City and County Shelters and other organizations for the animals in need.

• Animal Sponsorship Program
We realize that not everyone can foster or adopt an animal, but there are other ways to help, and one is to become an animal sponsor.
