Shelter Hope Pet Shop
Over 500,000 dogs and cats are currently being euthanized in California each year, while many underpopulated shelters still have room for adoptable pets. Bark Avenue Foundation has developed innovative solutions to bring these at-risk animals out of harm’s way.
The Shelter Hope Pet Shop is dedicated to saving the lives of shelter animals!
Located inside Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks, California, dogs and bunnies from local animal shelters are on site, available for on-the-spot adoption, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am – 7:00pm.
Visitors can shop for unique gift items for animal lovers, with all donations from the store going directly to help these shelter animals find new homes.

Shelter Hope Project
The Shelter Hope Project is a comprehensive, sustainable animal transportation program which moves dogs from overcrowded shelters to no-kill locations throughout the Western states where they will be adopted into permanent, loving homes. Our team of transport professionals and partner shelters continues to rescue hundreds of dogs every month and give them hope for a new future.
Contact Melanie Pozez at Bark Avenue Foundation if you would like to learn more about becoming a partner shelter.
